2. Some works require HDB approval
HDB's permit guidance covers general renovation, electrical work and air-conditioner installation, work requiring a Qualified Person, and renovations where floor plans must be submitted for evaluation.
HDB specifically states that demolition or hacking of walls requires prior written approval. Homeowners should not instruct workers to carry out wall demolition or hacking that has not been approved.

3. Electrical and air-conditioning work have specialist requirements
